Continuous Monitoring 

The DCS-6314’s WDR image enhancement gives you improved image quality in environments with uneven or difficult lighting, so you can identify objects that are backlit or in brightly lit areas. In low-light situations, the IR cut filter automatically slides out of the way to use all available light. In addition, the DCS-6314 also has built-in IR LED illuminators with a 45 feet range, allowing the camera to keep watch even in complete darkness. Proportional Pan, Tilt, and Zoom Speeds

Proportional pan and tilt make it easy to precisely adjust the camera’s view. When the camera zooms in, the panning speed is automatically slowed to improve camera tracking and control. The broad tilt range from -10° to 190° allows the camera to see beyond the true horizon, meaning you can see more even when zoomed in.

Built for Tough Environments

Specially designed for use in challenging environments the DCS-6915 has a toughened metal, industry-certified IK-10 (vandal-proof) and IP66 (weather-proof) housing. This means that it is able to withstand sudden high impacts, as well as adverse weather conditions. With its built-in heater and fan, the camera can operate in extreme environments at temperatures ranging from -40 to 50 °C (-49  to 122 °F).

Wide Dynamic Range (WDR)

IP surveillance cameras are often installed in areas with consistent lighting, like offices, banks or stores. This makes it easy to set exposure levels for optimal image quality. At other times, surveillance personnel are not so lucky. Doorways, glass walls or other areas that are exposed to direct or varying sunlight can create backlit or high contrast scenes. In such conditions, detail is lost in bright areas because of over-exposure and in dark areas because of low light. Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology overcomes these conditions by merging two images, one with a short exposure time to capture detail in the brighter parts of the image, and one with a longer exposure time to reveal detail in the darker areas. The resulting WDR image provides natural, balanced detail – a must in critical surveillance applications with tricky lighting conditions.

The IR Cut Filter can be manually applied, or set to automatically adjust based on lighting conditions. This feature enables the camera to capture crisp colour images during the daytime, and grayscale images in low-light.
